Photographing Your Pet
Now we all know that our pets are adorable, cute, lovable, and sometimes pretty darn funny. Heaven only knows how many times they've done something and we wished we had our camera. I know its happened to me plenty of times. I'm going to give you a few tips to help you get that great photo of your pet. Now all of these tips, I have researched other photographers and photo websites, are the more common to use in photographing your pet. O.K. here goes. First off you want to try to take your pictures in natural light. If you try to take their pictures with a flash than you wind up with a unnatural glow in their eyes (kinda like red eyes in us). Set your camera to manual focus and focus on their eyes if you can. Their eyes say alot. Get down to their level. It makes the shot more personal. Get close, real close that is if you can. If you have a zoom lens that would be preferable if not then get as close as you can then use your photoshop program to get closer. When you start taking their picture hold down the button so that you get several pictures (you might be suprised at what you get). Speaking of surprises you can get some really good shots if while they are doing something and you are in position getting ready to take your shot and someone else (preferably behind you and off to the side) whistles or claps their hands. You can usually get some pretty good shots this way. Well that's all that I have for you so let's get out there and get started shooting our animals. This time that you spend with your animal is also great bonding time with them. As always good luck and have fun!!
